Livingston mum’s lip ‘turned BLACK after botched lip fillers were injected into artery’ with doctors warning she could have went BLIND

A HORRIFIED mum displays her blackened and bursting lip after a botched filler treatment at a salon.
Bethany McPherson, 20, suffered a facial blood clot and was rushed to A&E in agony.
She was told she was lucky not to lose both lips — and has shared her photos to warn others off the pout-enhancing injections favoured by stars like Kylie Jenner.
Bethany’s nightmare began when she visited Edinburgh practitioner Tammy O’Brien for the £150 jab.
The mum of two, from Livingston, said: “The needle stabbed my vein with filler and when it was pulled out it caused a massive clot. It was agony.
"She was trying to massage out the bumps in my bottom lip and the pain was horrendous.
“My boyfriend could hear my lips pop and burst across the room.
“She put in more with a needle and my top lip hung over my bottom lip.
"When I left people stared at me as my lips had turned black.”
Hours later she was in A&E. Bethany said: “The plastic surgeon had never seen anything like it.
"They put needles in to try to draw the blood and filler.
"My top lip hung over the bottom one and I could hardly speak.”

It is thought the filler went into an artery. Bethany was told she could have gone blind.
Ms O’Brien, who says she is a pharmacist, treated Bethany through Beauty Secrets Aesthetics on June 1.
She said she was refunded after the treatment at Myles salon in the capital’s Abbeyhill, where she rented a chair.

She added: “There is a risk but Bethany signed a consent form. It can happen with any injector. I feel terrible it happened to her.”
Myles salon declined to comment.
Solicitor Stewart White of Thompsons is pursuing compo for Bethany’s “disgraceful” ordeal. He said: “It seems greater regulation is needed.”
