Ana de Armas has been confirmed as the brand new Bond Girl.

The Cuban-Spanish actress, 30, will be starring alongside Daniel Craig, Lea Seydoux, Naomie Harris, as well as a new line-up of Rami Malek, Dali Benssalah and Lashana Lynch in the hotly anticipated untitled Bond 25 film, which will be released on 8 April 2020.  

Ana first made her Hollywood debut in 2015's Knock Knock alongside Keanu Reeves, and a quick look at her Instagram platform shows her love for uploading bikini and nearly nude snaps from idyllic locations around the world.

Born in Santa Cruz del Norte, Ana attended the National Theatre School of Cuba at the age of 12, and made her acting debut in 2006's Spanish film, Una rosa de Francia. 

Ana made the successful crossover to Hollywood in 2015 alongside Keanu in Knock Knock and then went on to work with Ryan Gosling and Robin Wright in 2017's Blade Runner 2049.

This will mark Ana's breakthrough Hollywood role and interestingly enough, she has already worked with Daniel Craig on the crime drama Knives Out, which is set for release in November of this year. 

Ana's exciting casting announcement, alongside the rest of the line-up, was made on Thursday, via a live videolink during a cast Q&A at Goldeneye - Ian Fleming's estate on Oracabessa bay on the northern coastline of Jamaica.

Her brand new role as a Bond Girl proves to be a complete change of luck for her, as she previously told Harper's Bazaar that Hollywood roles were difficult to come by. 

'These roles are definitely rare. That’s my fight and I always try to go for them when they come up. As a woman and a Latina, it’s pretty challenging.

'I have two separate labels to fight against, but I know I just have to stay strong and true to what I believe in,' she revealed. 

Meanwhile, Ana's Instagram platform, which boasts 1.2 million followers, shows her passion for travel, and she isn't shy in showcasing her sensational physique in an array of saucy snaps.

Ana is also working with Penelope Cruz in the thriller Wasp Network, set for release next year.

She has been dating Cuban visual artist Alejandro Pineiro Bell since 2018.  Ana was previously married to actor Marc Clotet from 2011 to 2013.
