ChiefTimi, 01 Sep 2023How did you go about the back glass Just buy a cheapeat back glass for the phone. Use a razor blade and start removing the Vinel part from inside from the cover. Once the vinel starts peeling off, slowly start scraping from inside. Make sure you dont tear the vinel. Go very slowly and dont put any preasure on glass. Once u remove the vinel clean tbe glass gently with glass cleaner, apply some double sided transparent tape on aide and close the phone. Keep it tight so the tape sticks firmly atleast for a day. And ur done.

Well, my note9 exynus model i own for few year now and i was happy with it that i didn't care for any other phone at all, but till last night that started boot lop and freezes.
Today i open it to check if any ribbon or any fault i can find, but found nothing, battery still good, but i realized if i disconnect USB charging port wih its components the phone sem to start normal and no boot lop, so I'm sure there is some fault with it, i can send to service to replace that perhaps 30-40$ if thy have in stock, if not, i will have to bay one other note9 about 130-200$ depends.

I found one 8GB RAM/512GB internal storage for more or less $250 dolars, which is much less than it's original price and I've been thinking if it's worth the buy or I should get something else, like Note 20 or any of its variants for filming music videos.

Both has telephoto lens (which I prefer over ultrawide), Note9 has variable appeture main camera and microSD slot, while Note 20 has 64MP telephoto and Note 20 Ultra has a good 108MP main camera, periscope telephoto, brings back the microSD slot and has a variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

Note 20 will complete 4 years of release next year, so it's price might drop considerably. I can get normal Note 20 for $570 dollars, which is close to newer flagships from Samsung and other brands.

Anyway... Are these two worth in 2024?

I have the Note9 for nearly 5 years and it is still working just as before with a slight degradation of battery over time.

Frankly I have it till date not only for its sheer robustness and capability, it is also one of the remaining models in the market with ANT+ wireless protocols to connect with my sports sensors (heartrate, bike power, speed, cadence). If I have to switch over to those latest models, I will need an additional dongle through Typce OTG adapter which is a big hassle.

Until then... holding on to it.

Been wanting this phone but i feel like it isn't worth my money anymore, i have a s10e and this phone is powerful ashell
40fps in gfxbench, good camera, runs games very good and the phone looks good with a transparent back glass, purple magsafe magnets and a custom titanium frame
All of this costed me 550 euros..

after 5 years of release, is it still worth buying used?
imo, this phone still keeps its elegant look even today. no cutouts though. much better than V notch.
512gb is overkill at its time though. still has plenty of storage even today.

Got mine since 2018 and still using it in 2023. 5 years later and everything is great. Battery life is still amazing . I only charge it once a week. Do not use it heavy . Browse some sites, take a few calls..and sms. Camera is fantastic. See no reason to upgrade still and with a 150 to 200 $ sale price on ebay and Amazon, this is just an amazing device to buy now if you want something that is well worth it.

Yes, I am still using the Note9. I used the iPhone SE 2020 for a couple of years in the meantime, then I switched back to the Note9 after changing the battery and screen. It is basically in perfect condition, expect some dust in the front camera.
