I got to be honest the new iphone 16 base model are going to look like you just bought a cut down version of a iphone 12 from the back. To not have the square camera housing makes the 16 look like a SE

Android flagships at a similar price are significantly better in pretty much every regard. By the way "What you think is a "necessary" spec and what an actual useful spec is, might not be what you think." has not been a good argument when people first used it, nor is it now. It is undeniable that the normal iPhones are terrible value. Also, I own an Samsung S23 Ultra, I could absolute afford a Pro Max, let alone the cheaper models, but why would I? As I said, the Pro's are fine, but the other models are crap.

I have nothing against the Pro's, they weren't as good as Android flagships until recently in my eyes, but they certainly catched up. Non-Pro iPhones are a joke though and it's sad to see that they sell well despite offering nothing worth that much money.

6.9 inches on a phone as unwieldy and uncomfortable to hold as an iPhone. They really lost their mind. Without something like a popsocket that thing will be so uncomfortable to hold, even worse if you use a case which really isn't optional with how expensive iPhones are. No clue what they thought.

It's not like Android phones are always revolutionary and improved (cough Samsung cough...), but to just regurgitate the same rectangle year-on-year is disgusting, how "A18 Pro with better AI performance" and "polished titanium" and "48MP ultrawide camera" can sell so many phones doesn't make sense, if the ecosystem is what is keeping you then don't buy the new iPhone.
