Patrick, 04 Jun 2024Planning to buy this Moto G84. Any issues with this phone? ... moreIf you plan to use it for gaming or bluetooth audio streaming from it - you better look somewhere else. Also dont expect any fixes comming on time (if they come at all) from system updates - they just push some mainstream android security updates there sometimes.
Otherwise its a decent phone with nice battery life

Just had an update and now using the wired headset I can't launch assistant. I still get sound from music etc but just can't get the phone to notice wired headset properly or even display the green notification onscreen. There isn't even a notification that the headset is connected. Pressing the button only lowers the volume, there is no way it will launch assistant. tried numerous headsets and none detected...partner has another (Motorola) model and there phone too is having headset issues after an update not happy, not happy at all.

seems like this phone is not being sold in lots of Asia countries, duno what motorola is doing. Anyone know any other phones below 170g with similar spec?

First time use Moto,my opinion this is greaat phone,long batery two days,ok camera,use android 14,but have a problem to use yahoo mail app, NOT OPEN to me,maybe problem from Yahoo,Recomanded 100%,greating from Skopje,Macedonia

Overall It's a good phone but main camera sensor is 12 MP . And if you choose full res mode it's only upscaling the pic (sorry for my bad English)

This phone is great for 200 euro, but in my country a new one is sold at 300 euro, which is not so great for snapdragon 695

Acquired this phone, 3 months of use. One important piece of information that I didn't find written anywhere. It's dual sim, but one of the slots must necessarily be an ESim. The tray only fits one nano SIM and an SD card. It's a fast mid-range smartphone for everyday tasks and not so demanding games. I really like the architecture of the Snapdragon 600 series. But I agree that in a few years it will be obsolete, given that in 2024 it's already old. In my case, I have a preference for other manufacturers (Dimensity, Helio, etc).

Anonymous, 02 May 2024Change Dolby option....It doesnt help - tried any setting ... I even tried to disable Dolby from apps, tried enabling/disabling absolute volume in developer settings too). It is still by far the most low and quiet sounding from any bluetooth a2dp device I've heard so far. Android 14 didnt solve the issue also
