My Asus 8z stopped working suddenly after 2 years, when I take it to Asus service centre they checked and told me to go for motherboard replacement which will cost 70% of the original cost (INR 43k/USD 516) which comes around INR 30K/USD 360. I am not happy with Asus phone durability and services, even Samsung S24 motherboard costs around INR 24k which is new flagship and Asus 8 is 3 years old.

Loris, 08 Jun 2023The worst android phone I have ever had. Power button ill p... moreI setup my Zenfone 8 to have flashlight under power button double-press. It works well for me. Also you have a flashlight icon available in pulldown top bar and Icon on the lock screen... It's really hard not to press flashlight by accident. Totally inverted experience, I would say.

ShameonasusUpdate, 20 Dec 2023Asus zenfone 8 IS still on top 100 all Time best smart phon... morethe fact that you don't get amy software updates it's not a major break deal, the big mistakes are not done because of the lack of updates but because of human error, like opening links , responding to messages and stuffs like this , i don't hear anything that because of lack of security updates someone was scammed

But asus why SUPPORT IS 2os are you insane. Phones.like zen8series those are More than enough specs to get More than 2os updates.
2+2 IS that flagship device?. No way.
Phone Works just perfect camera handle everytime when needed that.
Cpu+RAM together handle all apps still 2024. But eol device by now.
Asus supposed made a christmas For zen8 and rog5 series (a14).

Encountered motherboard issue twice. The first time within warranty period. the second time it just died during charging. Camera is a joke. Worst phone i have ever used.

Just picked up the Zenfone 8 used and had for about a day, thus far actually not that impressed.. fingerprint reader isnt good, 5g keeps dropping out, can only get unread app counts on certain apps, cannot change icon style.. the UI looks/ feels dated. Battery ain't great either but was expecting that to be the case.. so yeah thus far it's just meh..

Having this phone for over 2 years now. So far the smoothest smartphone I ever had. The software experience is #1 top. I dont have a single reason to buy a new phone. Still works perfectly, super fast, and everything works as it should. No bugs, no lags, no bloatware, no annoying notifications, still getting security patches. I use some battery care features since I bought the phone, so even after 2 years the battery last almost the same as when it was new. Its my first Asus phone but I was this much impressed from a phone last time all the way back when I got the HTC One M7. Tried a lot of brands also iPhones but Im staying with Asus. 🔥

Unauthorized for adb and fastboot won't let me temp boot anything because I just reformatted my computer. ASUS quality has been going terribly downhill. I'm gonna crosspost in XDA and ZenTalk and try and open a ticket with support. If I really have no way to save my data that's a nail in the coffin for ASUS for me, I'll be d-u-n done with their s..t
