Cafe Review : Shao Kao Surabaya #NikkiFoodList

Here we go, my first ever cafe review! So, lately, I went to one of the newest restaurant in East Surabaya, Shao Kao.

Some people might feel familiar with the name, in fact, Shao Kao already opened their other restaurant at West Surabaya, G-Walk. The one that I visited, is Shao Kao Kertajaya.

I personally like the atmosphere in Shao Kao, the interior design is full with wood and the place is also very cozy. The room itself is quite big that can maintain for almost 50-80 people. They also have 3 seperate place for you to choose where do you want to eat, the indoor, outdoor or smoking area.

I came at the 3 PM on Saturday evening, so yeah, it was so quiet. Only a few people came at that kind of hour (a big yes for me because I can take pictures as many as I like, yay!). So, me and my friends decided to eat first and we actually can choose ourselves which kind of skewer that we wanted to eat. The range price for the skewer is from 5k and the highest one is 13k.

Shao Kao had a lot variety of skewers (which I completely like), you can see squids skewer, crab sticks, cheese meatball, salmon meatball, mushroom skewer and many more. They also would give you some sauce to satisfy your stomach. The one that I had back then, was BBQ sauce, because they said it was the only one they had left.

And yes, the food was so delicious and soo good. It matched my taste perfectly. And it also didn't cost as much as I thought it would be. Near the cashier, there was also an ice cream station which you can enjoy named Ohana Gelato that only cost 30k for every ice cream. I tasted the blue Smurf one and it was so milky and sweet (definitely my favorite one).

Me and my friend stayed for like 2-3 hours because we talked a lot and decided to eat again. After the time reached 5 PM, the place started to get crowded. People started to come one by one, and suddenly, it was full of people.

I personally like my first experience to eat at Shao Kao and can't wait to have my another meal at there. The waiters was also so friendly and ready for everything that we asked. The price is not that pricey and they didn't only sell skewers but also some kind of food like rice and noodle (costed around 35k-60k only so yeaaah, happy eating!)
