A stretch of road in southern Illinois is closed to allow snakes and amphibians the chance to migrate to their summer homes.
It's not just snakes. Frogs, turtles, newts and salamanders are also starting to migrate across the road from swamps to limestone bluffs where they'll spend the winter.
Recent warmer weather could mean the road will close four to five days early for the snakes' and amphibians' spring migration.
