Inhotim Sculpture Park in Brumadinho, Brazil, honors the visionary Jap artist with her very own Galeria Yayoi Kusama. The gallery is home to two immersive Kusama installations, one acquired in 2008 and the other an example of her ubiquitous Infinity Room created and acquired a year later.
The Aftermath of Obliteration of Eternity (2009) is a cornucopia of lights and reflections given life by glass and metal shards suspended in mid-air. One similar version is on display at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, where it gathers quite a crowd. The other installation at the Inhotim is I'm Here, But Nothing (2000). It's a dark room full of furniture pieces smartly arranged to illuminate certain key spots inside. Adding to the two installations is the third, Narcissus Garden from 1966.
