product description
Stonogobiops nematodes with Alpheus bellulus - Hi Fin Red Ba
Sample picture. Animals not shown to scale. You will receive one symbiose goby with snapping shrimp.
The Red Banded Goby lives in symbiosis with pistol shrimps (Alpheus randalli). It‘s quite shy and therefore shouldn‘t be socialized with big, hectic fish. Due to their small size (up to 4 cm) the Gobies can be kept in nano tanks from 60 litres, best keep them as pair. As feed granular food, flakes and frozen food is suitable. Overall a very easy to care animal.
The Tiger Pistol Shrimp (Alpheus bellulus) usually live together with symbiotic gobies. The symbiose pair will move into a shared burrow and is very interesting to watch. Especially in nano aquariums and other small tanks the behavior is very entertaining. This pistol shrimp grows to about 5 cm. Thanks to its wide natural range, it can be kept with all symbiose gobies, for example the Yellow prawn-goby (Cryptocentrus cinctus), the Hi Fin Red Banded Goby (Stonogobiops nematodes) or Amblyeleotris species (A. aurora, A. guttata, A. periophthalma, etc).
