The National Weather Service has completed a major upgrade to its radar display website. The new display can be accessed at https://radar.weather.gov

Here is some information that may help out with this transition or answer any questions you might have.

Main features/upgrades:

  • Individual radar sites are combined into one radar mosaic
  • New page is interactive (GIS-based) and zoomable
  • Additional (and some higher resolution) radar products, including Dual-Pol
  • Additional FAA Terminal Doppler radars
  • Adjustable transparency layers and backgrounds
  • Advisories, Watches, and Warnings overlaid
  • Clickable NWS forecast off of radar map
  • Same interface on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Option to focus on one radar site and check status of data
  • Downloadable imagery
  • New features will be added in time

You will likely have to adjust your web browser bookmarks and customize your own vantage point.  We urge you to familiarize yourself with the new features by just clicking around or watching this short video tutorial
