Red Sea Whip

It's a type of red algae found in the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico. It's a branching seaweed that can grow up to 1 meter in height and has a bright red colour. The 'whip' of these Sea Whips contains many polyps (cylindrical shapes with tentacles) on a single stem. These polyps are responsible for bringing in food which is plankton.

Anemone

Although a 'plant', a sea anemone has tentacles that cause powerful stings to whatever creature comes in contact with it. They form a fascinating symbiotic relationship where the anemone keeps predators away, and the clownfish exchange nutrients with the plant. The sea anemone can be found in both shallow and deep waters worldwide.

Water Wisteria

Water wisteria is a very popular aquarium plant in the hobby because of its lacy leaves, bright green colour and rapid growth. This aquatic stem plant is native to countries ranging between India and Thailand and can easily grow up to 20 inches tall (51 cm) and 10 inches across (25 cm). As a fast-growing plant, it is often used to consume nitrogen waste compounds in the water and outcompete algae growth.

Scroll Algae

Scroll algae or Potato algae is a beautifully ringed plant that is generally found in low tide lines. Since Scroll algae can survive easily with a little bit of strong sunlight, they are also used as aquarium plants for freshwater fishes.

Rotala Rotundifolia

Rotala rotundifolia, commonly named Dwarf Rotala, is a species of broadly spreading aquatic plant with a thick, bushy growth habit. It’s a relatively undemanding plant, growing in quite a broad range of light and water conditions. This makes Dwarf Rotala ideal to keep in aquariums, ripariums and paludariums alike.

Java Fern

Java Fern, or Microsorum Pteropus, is a green-leafy plant that will grow even if just thrown in the water, quite literally. This plant only needs a few basic needs met such as the correct water parameters, nutrients and lighting in order to thrive.
