Though members Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Harry Styles are all hard at work on their solo careers during One Direction's hiatus, fans are still wondering when exactly this "hiatus" will be over. Niall and Louis both have new singles out, Liam is working on his own debut — and expecting a baby! — and Harry has a major movie on the horizon. One thing's clear: they're not holding anything back when it comes to their individual endeavors, but they're simultaneously keeping the hope alive for Directioners everywhere.

The latest hint at a 1D reunion comes from Louis, who has been making appearances left and right in support of "Just Hold On," which he recorded with legendary DJ Steve Aoki. Today, the duo performed on the Today show, and though Louis is clearly dominating on his own, he made a point to reveal that the One Direction reunion we've all been waiting for isn't out of the question. The only question, really, is when?

"There's time for that," Louis told the hosts. "Nobody knows when. I think we're enjoying a bit of time to ourselves, exploring our own solo things."

Sure, it's not a definitive answer, but at this point, we'll take what we can get. Look at it this way: now that they've each gone solo, we can expect four times as many singles. Not a bad trade-off, right?
