Natural History: The Yellow Coris Wrasse is found in small groups on reef slopes and lagoons over sandy substrate. Groups usually consist of females. Juveniles may have eyespots on the dorsal fin and caudal peduncle.
Husbandry: The Yellow Coris is a hardy aquarium fish. It is naturally resistant to ich (Cryptocaryon) and copper treatments. It may attack ornamental shrimp or other crustaceans. It also may bury itself to sleep at night.
