Forged S Ever heard the phrase, "flash in the pan?" Or, "the brightest star burns half as long?" That's this show. One day, it's the hottest show on television, and the next its stars are wrapped up in scandal and audiences have moved on. Usually, I ask this question at the end but, have you seen the series? If so, what do you think? Personally, I feel it was the last of a certain type of show, "the 20+ episode season." You know the type. Each episode starts with a conflict or a situation. The characters bounce around, enlisting the help of others, only for the conflict to grow out of hand. Then as the episode finally ends and the characters come up with a logical resolution (usually provided by an older and wiser character) there's typically, a moral lesson to be learned (i.e. don't lie, don't cheat, don't steal, etc.). However, the issue with the show wasn't its content. Instead it suffered from a common issue called, "overstaying it's welcome." Rather than leaving on a high and using the very obvious ending (the Glee team finally won their competition and earned the recognition/respect they fought so hard for), the creators wanted to continue riding the wave of success they were on. Ultimately (and sadly), this left the show feeling stale and hurt what the previous seasons were building up to. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/10/24 Full Review Klber A Depois que focaram na Rachel, acabaram com a série! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/18/23 Full Review Valeria M Questa serie sarà sempre nel mio cuore! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/21/23 Full Review shaded c if i could give it less i would Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Jonathan Q It is a beautiful start for an epic musical show on network television, now on streaming. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review tiana f This series is definitely a must-watch. The characters of this show were really relatable to most and altogether really established a show of acceptance. Alongside the singing that contributed to the many aspects of the show, we as an audience were also caught up in a ball of entertainment with Quinn's Baby Drama. The first season of this show had its upside downs but yet still had the power to captivate you so much to continue watching the other seasons. Definitely for an audience who enjoys musicals. A very big Well done to the cast ( Dianna Agron, Corey Monteith, Mark Salling, Naya Rivera, Heather Morris, Jenna Ushkowitz, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Kevin Mchale ) and Producer Ryan Murphy. Alyx Vesey Bitch Media I like seeing Hummel "express himself" with Alexander McQueen's armadillo heels along with the girls in their performance of "Bad Romance." Dec 29, 2020 Full Review Michelle Dean Bitch Media Like anyone else, I do find the musical numbers, when they are heartfelt, to show a kind of joy that is missing on television these days. But the show won't survive on that alone. Dec 22, 2020 Full Review Matt Brennan indieWire The series spent its first 22 episodes redefining the TV musical in the terms of the series' title. Unafraid of emotion, "Glee" at its finest opened us up to joy. Mar 1, 2019 Full Review Kevin Carr 7M Pictures Jane Lynch brings so much to the role that no matter how cheesy an episode may get, her mere presence makes it tons of fun. Rated: 3.5/5 Feb 28, 2019 Full Review Kari Croop Common Sense Media The combination of offbeat characters, fantastic performances, and a willingness to take on controversial topics in a sensitive manner make this show a winner despite its many flaws. Rated: 4/5 Feb 28, 2019 Full Review Monika Bartyzel Collider The craziness is balanced with a heavy helping of social commentary, which might come off heavy-handed, but is always tempered by the outbursts of music. You name it, they sing it. Rated: 8/10 Feb 27, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
