Restricted Species. This species is very difficult to keep and should only be attempted by expert aquarists, or is a 'delicate shipper.' Our Stay Alive guarantee is not available on this item.
Mirolabrichthys tuka has a reputation for being very difficult to keep.
There are only isolated successes in keeping it, despite a rich diet.
But all in all, the tuka is and remains a flag perch that is not easy to keep.
Among other things, they are also quite sensitive to diseases and transportation stress.
REGULAR feeding with: Zooplankton, live Artemia, water fleas, frozen food such as Artemia, Mysis, Bosmids, ...
PLEASE feed MULTIPLE times a day with [different] frozen food!!!
It is better to feed a little more often than a lot once.
These fish cannot build up reserves to help them through the day.
These fish need a little food at least three times a day, preferably six times a day at the beginning, depending on the fish population in the aquarium.
A mixture of different types of frozen food is said to be most suitable.
