Sarcophyton ehrenbergi von Marenzeller, 1886

The polyps are brownish but some vary and appear to have some yellow in them. Some types have rather withish ones as well. The ends, too, are usually close to white. S. ehrenbergi can be confused with S. glaucum.

Mit die erste Koralle in meinem Aquarium. Weil das bisher noch nicht erwähnt wurde: Sie wandert durchaus durch das Aquarium, bis sie einen Platz gefunden hat, der ihr gefällt. Das dauert eine ganze Weile, weil sie nur sehr langsam ist, aber mein Exemplar hat inzwischen gute 30cm insgesamt zurückgelegt (über die Dauer von ca. 2 Jahren, würde ich sagen). Sie stand zu Beginn in der Nähe einer Kuperanemone - auch wenn diese sie nicht berühren konnte, gefiel ihr die Nachbarschaft augenscheinlich nicht. Sie wanderte von der Kupferanome weg das Riff etwas hinauf und steht nun eng angeschmiegt an einer Alveopora, beide scheinen sich so wohlzufühlen.
Aus den Resten ihres Fußes, die sie bei der Wanderung zurück gelassen hat, sind dann neue Exemplare entstanden.

Halte diese Koralle seit 26.3.21. Zunächst etwas zickig und hat sich mehrfach gehäutet. Jetzt steht sie wunderbar auf einem Mittelplatz unter LED und hat sich seither verdoppelt. Eine wunderschöne Weichkoralle die ihre Tentakeln in der wechselhaften Strömung schwingen lässt. Trotz nicht optimalen Wasserbedingungen (NO3 >50, PO4 0,15) wächst sie zusehend.

Habe diese Koralle im Nanobecken,habe sie etwas höher gesetzt,wächst wunderbar,braucht gute Strömung.
