Upeneus tragula Richardson, 1846

These barbs are usually best kept in a well-established tank with a higher sandy bottom at least 5 cm high.

The fish should also be given sufficient swimming space as it grows large.

Feeds predatorily on various crustaceans, worms and molluscs.

Very rarely found here in Europe.
