Can anyone identify this fish??
I bought this one a few weeks ago. It has very nice purple and yellow horizontal stripes. I call it my L.A. Laker fish. I have not been able to find it anywhere?? I really want some information on it. Thanks!!

I believe it's a juvenile Scolopsis frenatus
Edit: nope that's not it... but I do think it's a bream of some type. Maybe Pentapodus nemurus

Pentapodus emeryii is another very strong possibility. The bad news is that whatever type of bream it is you're going to need a bigger tank and some non bitesize tankmates

It is definitely a bream. Looks like pentapodus emeryii. It is not even 2 inches now...but can get to 12+ inches??? So far, it is minding it's manners in my reef. The name banana fish was on the tank in my LFS. Since they didn't know what the heck it was...got is for $12. Really a nice looking fish...never seen one before!! I have a large carpet anemone that has already eaten 2 large fish...so, it could be gone tommorow (hopefully not!!)
Any more information on this fish is appreciated.

Loosely related to snappers/groupers/etc. Will eat anything, and gets large. Otherwise, very hardy IME.
