I'm working on a stocking list that are going to be wrasse dominant. It will be for a tank between 150 and 180. I have a list of wrasse that I'm trying to whittle down.
Paracheilinus carpenter*
Cirrhilabrus solorensis*
Cirrhilabrus lubbocki
Cirrhilabrus exquisitus
Cirrhilabrus aurantidorsalis
Cirrhilabrus scottorum
Cirrhilabrus jordani
Cirrhilabrus cyanopleura
Cirrhilabrus lineatus
Cirrhilabrus cf cyanopleura*
Cirrhilabrus luteovittatus
Halichoeres chrysus*
Halichoeres melanurus*
Halichoeres iridis*
Halichoeres claudia*
Anampses lineatus

*denotes a strong desire to have

The other fish will be a pair of clowns, mida blenny, royal gramma, foxface, school of chromis(maybe) and a pair of engineers.

Most of those will be just fine together. The only ones where there is a possibility of issue are the fairy wrasses in the Cyanopleura complex, which on your list include cyanopleura, cf. cyanopleura, solorensis, aurantidorsalis, and lutteovittatus. They can still be kept together, but there will be more aggression focused amongst the members of this group.

My theory is the same as with cichlids, if there are more fish to disperse the aggression the less likely one fish will get picked on. But so far this just a list of more "oooooo pretty". I will drop more of the similar looking ones of for more flashers or another family of wrasse.

I would ditch the Scott's wrasse they aren't very pretty long term, they get large and thus are a big ugly bio load, and they're not too friendly for a fairy wrasse.

The rest looks like a plan!

I have a wrasse tank with the following:

Male blue star leopard
Transitioning male blue star leopard
Male ornate leopard
Black leopard
Potters leopard
Regular leopard
Supermale lineatus fairy
Male exquisite
Male solar
Male labouti
Male flame
Transitioning pink margin
Male Katoi
Male golden rhomboid
Male yellow flanked
Female I cannot even remember fairy wrasse
Yellow "coris"
And a radiant wrasse

Im probably missing one or two

Zero aggression issues

I haven't seen the final form of the scott's. I didn't plan to add all of the fish. I really like basically all of the leopards, but the care requirements seem to be more than I feel comfortable taking on. I'm on the fence about adding anthias or not because of the balance of feeding and water quality.

Leopards are easier in groups and in established tanks IME

And that's true to some extent, and sometimes works just like that, but not always. The rest of the time, one of them is more aggressive than the others, and tends to set their sites on one particular tank mate, regardless of the others.

Fully agree; skip it.

My luteovittatus grew much more rapidly than my aurantidorsalis and became very aggressive towards him (and eventually other fairies in the tank). Had to remove him.

I have a juvenile of this in my wrasse tank by accident was sold to me as juvenile earmuff wrasse but he's been great so far. He's also still very young and I fully expect to move him due to aggression. I had an adult a few years ago for a year until he found the tiny opening in the lid and leaped to his death and this one was very docile. It was again maybe 5" though they get larger and I suspect with age that would have changed.

More relevant is the fact that he was with puffers, triggers, larger/meaner wrasse, large Angels, and tangs. That is more than likely why he wasn't so bad.

In a tank with fairy wrasse I'm sure it would have been different

If you want to play it safe, only pick one of those and forget the other two.

I really liked the coris..... but it's dropped. What is the likelihood of getting a female solar? I wanted a the solar because both the male and female look amazing. But if I had to chose purely on looks between the three males its aura all the way. I just need to pick something else to take up the blue fish area.
