Common name – Axilspot Hogfish

Size – 8 in (20 cm)

Min. Aquarium size – 125 gal (473 L)

Temperament – Semi-aggressive

Foods and feeding – Should be feed a variety of high quality marine meaty foods. Will also eat other crustaceans.

Reef compatibility - Not reef safe.

Captive care – This is an aggressive fish and should be kept with other aggressive fish. They prefer a tank with lots of rock work with lots of hiding places. They are known jumpers so the aquarium top should be covered.

Why is it not reef safe?
Also everywhere I’ve read they’re not as aggressive as something like a trigger?
