My "holy grail" fish are a trio of Bellus Angels. Unfortunately males seem to be in short supply right now. If I add 2 or 3 females will one transition to male or will they just pick each other off?
TIA

1 should change,,, but later another may change and the first male might revert back to female ... happened in my tank!
Yes... I’ve never had problems with multiple female Genicanthus angels, but I would not put 2 full males together.Did they all live through it?
IME, you should have at least 2 females ( even different genicanthus types) for 1 to change...I kept my Watanabei angel for 6 years and she never showed any hint of changing to male. Some do, some don't.

So females of different genicathus species will get along?
TSM appears to have males available now according to their site here:

that's a good read on genicanthus angels
Thank you for all of the replies! Of course 2 days after I post this DD has 3 female Bellus Angels LOL.
We have our big local frag swap in a couple of weeks so I think I will budget for that, and focus on the angel fish after our bank account recovers.
I've never purchased from TSM, any reviews?
