- Bogor Botanical Gardens - We drive to Bogor, we will spend 1 hour from your place or hotel, then proceed to explore the Botanical garden in Bogor. The garden is in central city, the garden is 84 ha areas with tropical atmosphere, we just walk to the garden where the presidential palace inside the garden also as the main garden at Lake “Danau” gunting similarly with the scissors and the presidential palace also in the area in tight guard by army which is the ring of president, but we still close ahead to take photo and one of the colonial’s building was designed by colonial’s and still used by presidential residence and conference. After that proceed to do activity such walking, sightseeing or bicycling. Spending in 1 hours The proceed to a beautiful scenery to waterfall.

During your stay in Jakarta, take time to visit the neighboring city of Bogor, nestled at the foot of a mountain. You’ll enjoy a change in climate, experiencing cooler temperatures. The city is home to a central Botanical Garden, which neighbors the Presidential Palace complex. Spread across 87 hectares, the garden boasts 15,000 different kinds of trees and plants. As Bogor is known for its rainy climate, you can explore the garden by foot, or rent an electric bicycle, scooter, mini car or conventional bicycle. There’s much to see and do within the botanic paradise.
Post your garden visit, embark on a drive up a hill, where you’ll see the local houses and markets lining the street. Reach a waterfall where monkeys reside in groups.
For animal lovers, there’s an option to visit the safari - simply cover the entrance fee and driver gasoline costs. Please note that this will extend the duration of your tour. If you’re short on time, or would prefer not to deal with potential additional traffic, you may want to skip this option.

Fredy made our day from start to finish - We arrived in Jakarta a day early for a 20 day tour and did not wish to spend time sitting in the hotel or simply walking the streets so at 1215am we booked this tour and when we arrived in our lobby the next morning we were greeted by Fredy and Anton who provided us with a great day of sight-seeing and education about the people of Indonesia. The waterfall is in a beautiful spot with monkey's and plenty of local families enjoying the area however the walk up the creek bed to the falls is not for those who have balance or slipping issues. Lunch was excellent, located within a Eco Rice Terrace that was peacefully awesome with Fredy making sure that our every need was addressed. Due to planned meeting back at the hotel later in the day we were unable to spend much time at the Botanical Gardens but what we saw made us want to return someday.

Fantastic trip - highly recommended! - Wow!! A fantastic trip exploring the culture and the natural beauty of Bogor! Ferdy and his driver Anton were the perfect team to guide us through our travels around Bogor town, the botanical gardens, a puppet making factory, rice fields and a final highlight swimming in the nearby waterfalls. Ferdy was attentive to all of our needs and hugely knowledgable about all the different elements, giving us interesting facts and information throughout; and Anton helped to keep us entertained, even providing a musical accompaniment on his guitar to our lunch in the rice fields. For anyone looking for a day out from Jakarta, I couldn’t recommend this trip (or Ferdy and Anton as guides!) any higher!!

Must visit - The tour director was prompt when he picked me up from the hotel. Since the botanical gardens weren't opening till 10 am, he took me to the waterfalls first. The entire tour was an amazing experience, and eating at the rice fields was spectacular. As advised, do bring extra pai of clothes. However, aside from that, it was a blast. Way better than downtown jakarta. The driver was quite skilled in his own since some of the paths are narrow enough for 1 vehicle to pass through. Great team l!!!

Our guide knew all the best spots - Fitri saw to all of our needs as we commenced our excursion. She guided us through the Bogor Botanical Gardens, knowing the best spots to stop. A short distance away, the waterfall was an unexpected delight. Fitri guided us on a short hike along the riverbed which led us to the base of a most beautiful waterfall.

Loved walking through the river to the waterfall - Lovely to get out of Jakarta to the beautiful Botanical Gardens, and walking through the shallow river to the waterfall was fun, picturesque and very memorable. Ferdy the guide was helpful and informative.

Amazing Once in A Life Time Experience at Jakarta Bogor Botanical Garden - My girlfriend and I had an amazing trip through Tripedia Ferdy. Our tour guide Fitri, and driver,Elun, were fantastic. Knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The gardens were amazing. We could have stayed all day. The waterfalls were breath taking. Make sure are always hydrating because it is hot, but every step is worth it.

Could be much better - Guide was friendly - but also gave out wrong information.
After picking me up he simply asked where I was from and if I was Muslim (??!!!!!). Then turned on music and faced forward for 20 minutes. I had to ask him to turn it off and give me some explanation of the tour. He began reading the description on Viator - I interrupted him and told him I’d already read it and wanted his insight and details as a guide.
The botanical gardens were absolutely huge - and I wish he had told me that I had an option to rent a scooter or buggy - instead we walked under the sun for ages. For the way back I asked him to get a buggy as I didn’t want to spend hours walking under a baking sun.
The puppet “workshop” was ok. And here he just sat and let the owner give a very basic explanation and was more interested in selling.
Waterfalls were beautiful.
