Did Dane Cook go too far?
Though it was cut from last night’s broadcast of the Teen Choice Awards, a clip has surfaced of Dane Cook poking fun of 20-year-old “High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens for the topless photos of her that have been circulating lately.
“Girl, you gots to keep your clothes on!” he said. “Phones are for phone calls, girl.”
It wasn’t the first time the starlet had faced scrutiny for some racy photos.
In 2007, similar shots of Hudgens appeared, forcing her to publicly admit that she was “embarrassed over the situation.”
Despite her past experience, the star of the upcoming film “Bandslam” looked shocked and awkward, staring blank-faced back at the comedian.
She had been nominated in the category of “Choice Hottie,” which Cook was introducing.
After the show, Cook spoke candidly with Access Hollywood about the joke he had planned just 20 minutes in advance, saying, “That’s the best part about being a comic when you go, ‘Maybe I can say the thing that everybody is kind of feeling and nobody [is saying].’ The elephant in the room moment. So, I’ll take it, I’ll take the hit. It’s okay.”
