BUBBLE-TIP ANEMONE

Common in crevices on hard reef, often forming extensive beds of clones.  Tentacles not especially long, generally swollen below the tip, color variable, often with purple tips and rarely ornate white stripes.  Host to a number of Anemonefish species.  Red Sea to Japan and French Polynesia, excluding Hawaii.  Entacmaea actinostoroides is a synonym.
