RUBY-HEAD FAIRY WRASSE

Forms aggregations near staghorn coral beds along dropoffs.  Females red with white below, black spot on caudal peduncle fading with age, males with a red head and green to blue body with black scale edges.  Attains 5 inches.  Bali to Flores and rarely north to Wakatobi.
