PACIFIC BLUESTRIPE PIPEFISH

Uncommon in dark holes at any depth.  Brown with a blue stripe and fan-shaped tail.  Attains 3 inches.  Indonesia to Japan, Hawai'i, Mexico, and Ecuador.  The Indian Ocean population is now referred to as Doryrhamphus excisus.
