Pairs occur on shallow reefs, murky lagoons, and harbors.
Uncommon in
Hawai'i but fairly common in the tropics.
Feeds upon coral polyps, benthic invertebrates, filamentous
algae, and fish eggs. Attains 12 inches. Sri Lanka to Japan,
Hawai'i, and the Marquesas. |
