- This magnificent Buddha sculpture is hand carved from one piece of stone!
- He is captured in a pose of serenity while seated on an oval base in the padmasana or full lotus seated position with his hands resting on his lap in the dhyana mudra of meditation
- He is wearing full winter robes naturally draped over both his shoulders forming a scarf beneath his neck and pooling in folds beneath his clasp hands
- The Buddha is hand carved from one enormous block of onyx, perfect outdoors in any weather and completely one of a kind, you will receive this exact statue in your order
The custom Buddha is seated on a unique oval base in the dhyana mudra. It is the mudra of meditation, of concentration on the Good law and of the attainment of spiritual perfection. According to tradition, this mudra derives from lord Buddha when he was meditating under the pipal tree before his Enlightenment. This gesture was also used by yogis during their meditation and concentration exercises. It indicates the perfect balance of thought, rest of the senses, and tranquility. The Buddha is seated in the padmasana or full lotus position. This is the leg position of deep meditation. He has a handsome face set in deep concentration. His long earlobes perfectly frame his features. His full winter robes hang over both his shoulders.

Use a cotton cloth and gently buff the surface of the statue to bring out the natural polish of the stone.
White, red and black marble statues are easy to take care of as they just need some annual upkeep to keep them looking as they did when they were first carved. Here are some easy tips to keep your White, red and black marble statues from Lotus Sculpture looking like the gods they are:
- Dust the statue as needed to prevent dirt build up
- To make the statue shine use a cotton cloth to buff the sculpture
- You can use a small amount of natural oil such as coconut oil or olive oil to further polish the sculpture
- Use a tooth brush to get into the hard to reach spaces of the sculpture
- DO NOT TOUCH the painted surfaces of any of the white marble statues. This will damage the painting if done often
White marble statues that are unpainted can be placed outdoors. We recommend keeping our smaller red and black marble statues as well as any painted marble statues in an indoor environment. The red and black marble statues have some delicate pieces that could chip if left outisde. The paint from the white marble statues will not last for more than 4 years if left outside so use discretion when placing your statues outdoors.
