What is Glycemic Index (GI)? The Glycemic Index is a kind of a scale that we can use to get an idea about the type of carbohydrates contain in the food. If the GI is high, those food increase the blood glucose level of the body by absorbing those carbs rapidly in to the blood serum. Those who have diabetes, should more concern about the GI value. It would be better that people who have diabetes can consume more food that have lower GI values. Not only for people with diabetes, anyone who wants to live a healthy life should try to consume food with lower GI value.
