Super Junior’s Heechul Spills On His Feelings Surrounding The Rumors About His Sexuality — Why He Didn’t Address Them In The Past
Super Junior‘s Heechul recently addressed rumors about his sexuality, sharing why he’s always so quiet about them.
Since debuting, Heechul has always gained attention for his “Pretty” visuals but also his behavior towards other idols. In particular, the idol has been honest in the past about the rumors surrounding his sexuality.
Recently, Heechul appeared in a video alongside his friend and actor Jang Keun Suk.
During the video, Jang Keun Suk explained that in the past, he and Heechul had a lot of rumors about their sexuality and whether they were dating each other.
He then explained that it came from netizens’ perceptions of them, whether it was their skinny frame or love of fashion.
Heechul even pointed out that in the past, they would both wear what was considered “female clothing.”
The idol then explained that there was a reason that he never directly addressed the rumors, bringing up an interview done by Michael Jackson.
I said this in an interview. In the past, Michael Jackson said this. Among my fans, there are fans who like men. There are also fans who like women. So it’s not that big of a deal. So I thought there was no reason to explain myself.

Jang Keun Suk then explained, “It’s because we looked like that and seemed different.”
Yet, while the idol explained he never directly addressed the rumors, Heechul explained that he wanted to set everything straight because of the stage he is at in his life. The idol added, “But not now, I need to explain. I’m at the age to get married.”
Over the years, Heechul has always gained attention for his visuals and the way he acts around both male and female idols. His reason for not directly addressing rumors of his sexuality and the way he spoke about them now are sensible.
