Freckled Hawkfish - Paracirrhites forsteri
This Freckled Hawkfish - Paracirrhites forsteri is yellow, short diagonal black line behind eye. Colors quite varibale, most commonly shades of brown, numerous small spots 'freckles' on head and forebody, brown striped area toward rear of body.
The black-sided hawkfish or freckled hawkfish, "Paracirrhites forsteri", is a species of hawkfish from the Indo-Pacific. It is occasionally found in the aquarium trade and is also of minor importance to local commercial fisheries. It grows to a total length of 22 cm.
