Description

Harvested before they're fully mature, young coconuts conveniently already have their green outer husk removed. White on the inside and out, they're full of lightly sweet coconut water. To crack into all this fruit offers, carefully make four deep cuts on the top in the shape of a small square. Pry open your newfound "lid" and use a straw to drink the coconut water (or reserve it for later). Turn the coconut on its side and make a long vertical cut, breaking through both the outer shell and the inner fiber. Scoop out the soft flesh and enjoy its sweet creamy taste.
