Congratulations are in order! Vanessa Hudgens has confirmed on Instagram that, after two years of dating, her Major League Baseball player boyfriend, Cole Tucker, popped the question.
TMZ reported on February 2 that the couple had gotten engaged sometime near the end of 2022, but it wasn’t until after Hudgens was spotted by the paps with something big and shiny on her left ring finger that she confirmed the news personally on her IG. “YES. We couldn’t be happier,” the High School Musical star wrote on social media, along with one picture of herself and Tucker postproposal in Paris, and another close-up shot of the ring.

Vanessa Hudgens was seen wearing the engagement ring while out and about for the first time a few days earlier, according to Page Six. Photos published in the outlet show the actor looking extremely low-key in a purple sweatsuit and chunky, fuzzy booties (they appear to be the Simon Miller shearling bubble clogs she’s been seen wearing before) while grabbing food with her fam in Los Angeles.
In a 2021 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hudgens described the “very random” way she and her husband-to-be first met in a Zoom meditation room, before gushing about the relationship. “He’s just kind of perfect for me. I am [happy]. I really am,” she said. “I think that it’s also so important to stay grateful for everything that you have in life. I’ve been making that a priority, and I feel like it’s just been making magic happen all the more.”
