Bon Jovi were forced to cut one of their gigs short this week, after lead singer Jon Bon Jovi thought his singing was "shit".

Don't be so hard on yourself, Jon.

Bon Jovi were performing at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Wednesday (April 5), when Jon threw in the towel and called it a night – but not before giving fans a shot at karaoke.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Jon was almost halfway there (sorry) when he told the crowd: "I think I'm singing like shit tonight and I apologise... I'm gonna keep pushin' on and if you stick it out with me, I'll stick it out with you."

Luckily, the crowd did stick it out with the band, even offering Jon some supporting vocals along the way.

Despite the helping hand from the crowd, Jon did eventually call it quits after thanking fans for 'their kindness'. "I'm sorry we couldn't do the full show tonight," he added.

To be honest, it's no surprise that Bon Jovi's frontman has been struggling with his voice – since the band's 1984 debut, they've played more than 2,800 concerts across 50 countries.

Arguably one of the biggest rock bands in the world, Bon Jovi have shifted an impressive 130 million-plus records, and their latest album This House Is Not For Sale was the group's 14th. Whew.
