• Harry Styles said he’s open to a One Direction reunion.
  • He spoke to Rolling Stone about whether he hated being in the group.
  • Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan have all talked about a 1D reunion before.

You guys, Harry Styles is on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine this month, and I am unwell. I honestly might need to take a personal day after looking at that photo of him in swim trunks, but first, you need to hear what he said about a possible One Direction reunion. In short: He’s so down for it. I’ll give you a moment to celebrate and fully spiral at the very thought of this generation’s Fab Five getting back together again.

Okay, so, while talking to Rolling Stone about all things music-related, Harry mentioned that while some former boy banders tend to go the complete opposite direction and trash their group (ahem, Zayn Malik), Harry is grateful for 1D. He said he actually really enjoyed his time with Zayn, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne. He explained:

“I know it’s the thing that always happens. When somebody gets out of a band, they go, ‘That wasn’t me. I was held back.’ But it was me. And I don’t feel like I was held back at all. It was so much fun. If I didn’t enjoy it, I wouldn’t have done it. It’s not like I was tied to a radiator.”

And since everyone wants One Direction to get back together, RS had to ask if Harry would be in. And bless his heart, he is, if everyone really wants to. He said:

“I don’t think I’d ever say I’d never do it again, because I don’t feel that way. If there’s a time when we all really want to do it, that’s the only time for us to do it, because I don’t think it should be about anything else other than the fact that we’re all like, ‘Hey, this was really fun. We should do this again.’”

Ugh, he is so wise.

As every 1D fan already knows, everyone but Zayn has expressed major interest in reuniting. Like, even Shawn Mendes, of all people, is down to join the band. Plus, Louis once said a reunion is “inevitable,” so let’s all hold on to this hope until that day comes, because it really looks like it will.

Until then, Harry will be “making music and experimenting.” Love to hear it!
