Love it as a reader and a tablet.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 4th Nook and the best one. I enjoy watching movies, TV shows and playing games. I can check my email, Facebook page and the main thing, read books and magazines. I gave my old Nooks to family members who can all be on my account (up to 5 Nooks on one account). I take it with me everywhere.

Great replacement for my tired Pandigital reader
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use a reader mostly for holding my library of stuff and keeping my place in each book or magazine I am reading. The Nook excels at this. I can be moving forward in five or six different sources and flipping between them is seamless. The Nook is thinner than my old reader and while it fits in the protective cover I used for my old one, it doesn't fit as snugly and I will probably have to find one that is better suited. Downloads from B&N are almost instantaneous, but I still haven't figured out how to better arrange the material for easier browsing. I have over a hundred books and magazines now and its hard to get to something I haven't started or read recently. This is probably going to get better with use, but I think the organization system should be a little more obvious. My main complaint with my old reader was that at the end it would not hold a charge for very long. That is definitely not a problem with the Nook. I can charge it at work on Monday, use it at lunch and bedtime all week and the charge is only down to 40% on Friday morning. In sum, I am very happy with the upgrade and would recommend this one to anyone looking for a flexible reader. The other games and abilities of the Nook are something I haven't used or investigated so I cannot speak to them.

Great Tablet for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The nook is a capable reader, and at $99, it was $30 less than everyone else. I think you get a lot for your money. If you're willing to get used to the Nook interface, then you will be very happy with it - it's not for power users, so don't expect to be able to easily edit the interface. Of course, if you're a poweruser, you probably have a Galaxy note, or a Nexus, but this is good for probably 80% of the market, and you get a name brand item, with a great screen.

Given price & capabilities, it is great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to replace an old e-book reader that started acting funny... Did serious research as to what to get. For reading, the Nook is excellent, specially in limited lighting. And the added features such as e:mail, internet and applications both serious and fun are just frosting on the cake. The screen quality is better than most. I really do not understand why people pay as much as five times more for a compact "tablet" with basically the same features as this. As far as battery life, it does last just long enough not to be obnoxious, but then all the HD color tablets seem to have the same limits.

Great option for kids!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this for our 10 year old daughter after researching many other tablets. It was important that we chose a tablet with parental control so that we could monitor what she had access to. This tablet provided us that security and at a fraction of the cost of other tablets. We appreciate that it has games, books and internet access as well as the ability to add movies and music. We will be purchasing another for our 7 year old son.

Great reader/tablet combination for kids.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this for my sons 12th birthday. I liked the fact that I could set up a profile for him and restrict access to the Internet. He love to read books and play games on it.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love everything about my nook. I wanted some thing for apps and reading and this can't be beat. it's doesn't allow .wma or .mp4 video format, but that's the only down side

Q: QuestionWhat should I take into consideration when deciding between buying the NOOK HD 8GB or the 16GB?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer When considering which memory size to purchase, you should consider what type of content you plan to save on your device. Some content, such as movies and books that have a lot of extra features and content built in, can take up a lot of memory space. If you are just planning to read plain text books, you will not need as much storage. Please note that you can also expand your memory with a microSD card up to 32GB. And with automatic NOOK Cloud storage, your library is virtually endless.

Q: Questionhow does the Nook HD compare to the Nook Color
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The Nook HD is leaps and bounds better than the Nook Color. New software, an improved Nook store, amazing screen, lighter weight, and longer battery are just a few of the benefits of buying this model over the outdated Nook Color. I highly recommend the Nook HD.
