If you were between the age of five and 15 around the time of 2010, then it's safe to say you had an obsession with Silly Bandz — you know, the brightly-colored bracelets that everyone wore stacked on their wrists every single day back then. The rainbow rubber bands became a raging phenomenon basically as soon as they hit stores, and to this day, you can still find them sold on sites like Amazon, eBay, and Etsy (your welcome, y'all). As if that wasn't cool enough, the famed accessory is now starring in a teenage makeup artist's work on Instagram, and folks are feeling all the nostalgia.
Ira Gracheva, a 16-year-old makeup artist from Moscow, Russia, is the mastermind behind this bold makeup look, which features Silly Bandz-like squiggles drawn around her eyes in rainbow colors. We're not just guessing that Silly Bandz was the inspiration, either — Gracheva mentioned it in the caption of her post specifically so that people would know what she was going for.

Speaking of which, as soon as people realized what had inspired the look, they went wild. Case in point: The post has since garnered over 10,000 likes and a fair number of comments from fans of Gracheva's work. You'll find messages like, "This is magnificent! 🌸🌸," "omg silly bandz!!! nostalgic," and "amazing look 😍😍."
As it turns out, Gracheva used pigments from a brand called Krygina Cosmetics to achieve the Silly Bandz affect, but if you're hoping to re-create it at home, you could easily get away with using liquid eyeliner — or with a product like Make Up For Ever's Flash Color Palette, as it comes with a variety of creamy, high-voltage hues.

While this might not be an "everyday look" for some, it's definitely worth trying if you have some time on your hands and want to experiment with makeup that's out of your comfort zone. One thing's for sure: I'm daring Allure's Devon Abelman to try it, stat.
