Biogas technology is easy to be implemented and has a lot of raw materials available in various forms such aslivestock waste, agricultural waste, industrial waste and the like which has high organic matter. This study aimedto determine the biogas production, biogas yield, hydraulic retention time, and the quality of biogas made fromcassava and cassava leaves with cow dung as a starter. The experiments were performed using a completelyrandomized design (CRD) with four treatments and four repetitions. Substrate composition of cassava leaves,cassava tubers, and cow dung is A (15: 0: 85), B (0:15:85), C (0:25:75), and D (0:35:65). Variance analysisperformed using SAS statistical program. The results showed that the composition of the substrate significantlyaffect the total production of biogas, but did not significantly affect the productivity of biogas. Rancang Bangun Reaktor Biogas Tipe Portable Dari Limbah Kotoran Ternak SapiTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) merancang reaktor biogas skala kecil dan portable dan (2) menganalis kualitas uji nyala api biogas dengan memperhatikan suhu, pH, dan tekanan. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental dengan mengukur parameter suhu reaktor biogas, tekanan, derajat keasaman (pH) dan volume gas yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan bahan kotoran sapi dan air dengan perbandingan 1:2 pada kapasitas 200 liter. Pengambilan data dilakukan selama 37 hari. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah alat biodigester skala laboratorium tipe floating drum atau terapung yang terbuat dari bahan plastik dan fiber glass dengan diamater reaktor 52 cm dan tinggi 92 cm. Volume biogas yang dihasilkan selama 37 hari adalah 2,721 m3 dengan ata-rata pembentukan gas sebesar 0,074 m3/hari dan laju pembakaran 66,44 liter/jam. Pertanian Indonesia pada masa kini terus mengembangkan cara agar pertumbuhan dan produktifitas tanaman dapat meningkat. Salah satu upaya tersebut adalah dengan pemberian pupuk kompos. Bahan pembuatan pupuk kompos dapat menggunakan kotoran sapi dan serbuk gergaji. Metode komposting yang umumnya digunakan adalah metode aerobic dan anaerobic. Pada percobaan ini ingin mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh tambahan aerator pada komposting dengan metode aerobic.

Pulau Semambu Village, Inderalaya Utara Subdistrict is a village which area of the expansion of the Tanjung Seteko Main Village, Inderalaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This area has a population of 1055 people / 537 households. In accordance with its geographical location, Pulau Semambu Village has sufficient natural resources to support the success of rural communities to improve their standard of living by utilizing land suitable for agriculture, livestock and plantations.
