Super Junior's Heechul recently stunned fans with a surprise revelation on SBS's ‘My Little Old Boy’ as he stepped into a tuxedo shop for an important outfit selection. During the episode, he dropped the bombshell, saying, "I'm about to tie the knot. I'll need to shed some pounds for the big day. And you know what? I'd like to challenge the norm that grooms always must wear black tuxedos.Do you happen to have any white ones?"

Heechul even expressed a desire to don a red tuxedo for his wedding and extended invitations to fellow celebrities, including Tak Jae Hoon, Kim Jong Kook, Choi Jin Hyuk, and Heo Kyung Hwan, to attend the event. As he meticulously prepared for what seemed like a grand wedding, he teased, "First, allow me to present the bride."
However, he soon left everyone baffled as he revealed, "The groom for today is none other than Kim Heechul, and the bride, well, it's still Kim Heechul – someone I hold dear in my heart." It turns out that Heechul was practicing sologamy, a unique ceremony in which one marries oneself, with the intention of prioritizing his own happiness.
Upon hearing this revelation, his mother couldn't help but ask, "So, are you implying that you won't be getting married?" To which Kim responded, "I'm not opposed to the idea of not getting married. I do contemplate marriage, but I've questioned whether I truly deserve to love someone else and if I should prioritize self-love a bit more.'"
He continued, "Back in my twenties, the most disheartening thought was, 'Why can't I be affectionate with myself?' Have you ever stood in front of the mirror after a shower and shared a kiss with your own reflection? This wedding is a step I need to take for myself more than anyone else."

During this unique ceremony, Heechul even read wedding vows, and Kim Jong Kook serenaded him with a congratulatory wedding song. In the end, it was a celebration of self-love.
