Boy group SHINee scored the Artist Award of the year in 2013 MMA.

On 14th afternoon, ‘2013 Melon Music Awards’ was held in Olympic Gymnastics Stadium in Bangi Seoul and SHINee was honored with the artist award of the year. Especially it was 2000 days since debut which was more meaningful.

SHINee went up on stage shedding tears when they were named as the artist of the year. Five members continuously shed tears as they thanked their fans, families and agency people. Fans cheered their win to celebrate.

Onew said “I forgot what to say. First thanks to our boss Lee Soo-man for making SHINee a team and thanks to SHINee’s parents. We will always do our best to become more apt to grand prize winning team. Also thank you fans we love you.“

Key practically wailed which garnered attention. He added “We strived for 6 years to win this prize. Thank you so much. Special thank to our members. Actually I am not sure we should take this. We will try our best to show developing SHINee.“

Minho also kept crying which he said “Sincere thanks to everyone. Our managers, staffs and members who worked hard together for 6 years. Thank you all.“

MMA MC of this year were EXO member KAI, SUHO, BAEK HYUN, CHAN YEOL and actress Lee Yu-bi.

Meanwhile, total of 16 MMA awards included ‘Melon Music Award Top 10’, artist of the year, best song award, album award, netizen popularity award, music styles award, special award and so on. EXO, Davichi, Dynamic Duo, Busker Busker, SHINee, Sistar, IU, Ailee, and G-Dragon were nominated a top 10.
