Kelok 9 or Kelok Sembilan is a winding road segment located about 30 km east of Payakumbuh, West Sumatera to Riau Province.

Kelok 9 Bridge is a bridge built and connecting between these valleys located in natural forest reserve areas with a total length of 943 meters and a connecting road of 2,089 meters. Named Nine because the roads in the area have 9 bends or turns.

The road itself appears zigzagging down the hillside where it has been built since the time of the Dutch East Indies (1908-1914).

Kelok 9 bridge is built because previously the road conditions in that place narrow winding so that large vehicles have to stop and take turns through it. With the presence of this bridge makes inter-regional transport routes even inter-provinces more smoothly.

The proud, beautiful and charming bridge is the work of the nation's children using the concept of green construction and utilize domestic production. Kelok 9 bridge was built in 2011 and completed in 2013. When inaugurated by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono,
