Natural History: The Coral Beauty is found in lagoons, reef faces, and reef slopes, usually in areas with a high density of coral. It is haremic and one male may defend up to 5 females. This species exhibits considerable color variation from solid blue to white.
Husbandry: The Coral Beauty is a popular and hardy angelfish. It is generally hardy and will usually feed shortly after introduction to a tank. It will nip at corals and is probably not suitable for a reef aquarium. It is not as aggressive as other species of angels.
Reproduction: The Coral Beauty usually spawns in low areas of coral-rich habitats, often near the edge of a reef.
