Take a look at Utica’s new mural!

If you’ve been to Utica Coffee Roasters on Genesee Street, you’ve probably seen the vibrant and colorful mural stretching across the entire northeast exterior wall of the building. This wonderful addition to the city, is the work of a team of local artists bringing their unique perspective to this creative project. Angela DeCarlis (@be.lifecoach), Retro Sorrento (@retro.sorrento@retro.sorrento), and Jenny Major-Quinn (@jennydreamsincolor), continue to work absolute magic on the wall and their time and dedication is greatly appreciated by passers by.

Painting began during the summer

Started in July, the Utica mural showcases each artist’s individual style with each window scene included in the mural. The collaboration of these wonderful local artists adds a splash of outdoor art that highlights the city’s creative scene and provides a beautiful gathering space for residents and visitors alike.

Gather here on your own or with your friends and family- grab your favorite drink, take pictures, and love on this unique slice of Utica!

“The way we gather matters. Gatherings consume our days and help determine the kind of world we live in, in both our intimate and public realms. Gathering- the conscious bringing together of people for a reason- shapes the way we think, feel, and make sense of our world.” – Priya Parker, The Art of Gathering
