Arsenal have agreed a deal for their first signing of the summer transfer window, if reports are to be believed.

It has previously been reported by the Daily Mail revealed that former Gunners midfielder Edu is being lined up to become the club's new technical director and that he had lined up Ituano wonderkid Gabriel Martinelli as his first signing.

Now Italian journalist Nicolo Schira claims a deal has been agreed and the winger is set to be become the new technical director's first summer purchase. He will reportedly be unveiled at the Emirates Stadium in June when he turns 18.

Gabriel Martinelli could be the next product of Brazilian football, following in the footsteps of Gabriel Jesus, Neymar and Richarlison who have all made the switch to Europe at a relatively young age.

Described as a quick and skillful player who is comfortable playing as a second striker or as a winger with an eye for goal, Gabriel Martinelli could be the type of player many Arsenal fans have been crying out for in recent years.
