PDF version of iPad user guide?

My 94 year old father would like a printed copy of the "basics" section of the iPad manual, at least the pages that show gestures etc. Why is it impossible to print the User Guide or to find a PDF version?

I think you've found a bit of a flaw - I don't see any easy way to print the manual/user guide either. While I certainly understand not having a pre-made PDF available (those have to get uploaded when changed/web pages are easier to edit on the fly).

Taking screenshots of the digital book and printing those might be the simplest option for you.

Another way could be to access the document on a computer then copy/paste the relevant parts into a word document and print that.

Be tedious as heck to get it all but maybe you can make him a small manual specific for his needs

You should also be able to get the images, if not a print screen then pasting that into paint (presuming you have a windows computer) can be another way to get the graphics.

Thank you both for your replies!

Yes, those are both helpful alternatives and I appreciate those suggestions. I agree that it is an oversight as well. I would think there are a large number of older users that would appreciate a print version (not all 700+ pages, of course!).

I have done some screenshots of the most relevant pages to print, but thanks skydiver for the cut/paste option. I may add to the screenshots with additional information using this method.
