Bluestriped snapper / Common bluestripe snapper
Distributed across the Indo-Pacific. In Japan, from central Honshu southwards. Mostly found in schools in deeper waters of the outer edge of coral reefs. It is yellow with four light blue bands on each side. Juveniles often swim in small schools near rocks on sandy bottoms. Reaches 25 cm in length.
