All fins except pectoral fins with narrow white edge fringe.
Size : 25 cm
Habitat : Inhabits lagoons and outreefs, 2-50 m.
Inactive during the day, usually below overhangs or in caves, alone or in groups. Disperses at night in search of food. Captures worms, shrimp larvae and small crabs in open water.
Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to SW Japan, Micronesia, GBR and Samoa.
