Striped Clingfish

Diademichthys lineatus

Red to dark reddish-brown with two white to pale yellowish horizontal stripes from the snout to the tail. Caudal fin with yellow spot.

Size : 6 cm

Habitat : Frequently in the protection of the barbs of diadem sea urchins, 2-25 m. Also between branched coral or freely swimming in reef crevices and cavities.

Distribution : Oman to SW Japan, North Australia and New Caledonia.
