This is the club’s modern crest. It took designers more than a century to make it look this way. Since 1889 there have been dozens of Barcelona FC crests. Each of them always depicted the flag of the Catalan capital and the cross of St. George on some of its parts. Anyway, the changes to the emblem from time to time were insignificant. A cauldron has always been the main symbol almost in all designs (except the very first one), only the frame, the appearance of the ball and the presentation of the club’s abbreviation underwent transformation.
